The East Yorkshire Thoroughbred Car Club will be holding their 54th East
Coast Run to Sewerby Fields
on Sunday 9th June.
At this event, many historic,
vintage and classic commercial
vehicles, including buses, cars and
motorcycles will be on display.
The start meeting takes place at
East Park Hull from 10am to 11am
before departing to Sewerby Fields
in Bridlington via the A165.
Once at Sewerby there will be
the opportunity for visitors to
view the vehicles with various
food outlets present and children’s
entertainment until 4pm.
A 120-year-old vehicle is also to take part in the event which has a special connection with Bridlington.
The 1904 registered BT4, was originally owned by a Bridlington businessman, and despite being shipped to the USA, is now in the ownership of a British car collector.
Bridlington historian Mike Wilson spent months tracing the car, which was photographed mear Trinity Road in 1904.
From this picture, Mike managed to trace the history of the car for the current owner.
