A number of roads have been shut in the east end of Glasgow after a car mounted a pavement and ploughed into a building earlier today.
Officers from Police Scotland are currently on the scene at Parkhead Cross following the incident. Images appear to show a car has collided with a building within the area cordoned off by officers as an investigation is carried out.
Pictures also show two ambulances, a fire engine, and two police vehicles at the scene. Officers clad in hi-vis uniforms can also be seen, while other officers appear to be directing traffic.
A number of roads have been shut down following the incident, Glasgow Live reports. Glasgow City Council confirmed there was a “series of road closures” in the east end of the city.

The local authority posted a statement about the incident on social media. But the message on X, formerly Twitter, did not say why the streets in question were shut.
It read: “Motorists advised series rd closures Parkhead Cross: Gallowgate at Springfield Rd, Duke St at East Wellington St, Westmuir Street at Sorby Street & Tollcross Rd at Helenvale St.”
Police Scotland, the Scottish Ambulance Service and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have been contacted for comment.
