Cresta Cars has enjoyed a rapid rise in the region with offices in Mold, Deeside, Buckley, Connah’s Quay, Broughton and Flint now joined by a new location in Brook Street, Chester.
The company, which offers taxis, limo services and airport shuttle services, started in Flintshire in 2019 with just three cars. It now has a fleet of 130.
Its new office was adorned with a black and gold balloon arch last night as its directors, staff, and local figures came together to celebrate its official launch.
Mark Coates, one of three directors alongside Mandy Willets and Xristos Tscrvas, said: “The way that we work is that we want to put on a good service and we want to do the right price for the customer. If it’s a £5.60 job, then it will be a £5.60 job the next time that you jump in.

“We’re here to give people a consistent service, and we’re going to give people a choice, whether they use the app or they ring up to book.
“Most importantly, when they ring up, they’ll be able to speak to someone. There’s always a voice at the end of the phone, we’re a family company and we’re here to help our drivers and our customers.”
Michael Nicholls, manager of Cresta Cars, said: “Working with Mark, Xristos and Mandy has been a blessing, it’s what’s been needed in Chester to help the drivers and help the local people.
“You’re not going to get a robot that will answer your call. We have an app, which a lot of people use, but for those that don’t like to book that way, it’s great that we have this office that has someone to speak to.
“The thing that sets us aside from services like Uber and others, is that we run a fixed fare, what you are quoted is exactly what you’ll pay and that has been welcomed in the city.”
Mark added: “It’s local taxiing, as it should be.”
The group piled outside on a rainy night in the city as the Lord Mayor cut the ribbon, to declare the new office officially open.
Lord Mayor, Cllr Razia Daniels said: “I would like to welcome the business to our wonderful city, and I wish them all the very best for the future.”
