Shamli: After the polling process for the Kairana Lok Sabha seat concluded on April 19 in the first phase of the LS elections, Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) were securely stored in Shamli’s strong room, guarded by CRPF personnel. However, SP candidate Iqra Hasan deployed party representatives to monitor the EVMs’ security round the clock. Despite assurances from the district election officer Ravindra Singh about tight security, SP workers remain concerned.
