Rhys Hicks, 25, has been remanded into custody
A man has been charged following reports of cars being damaged. Officers were called to Middleton town centre after receiving multiple calls, Greater Manchester Police said.
An arrest was made following the alleged incident at around 4.30pm on Sunday (June 29).
Rhys Hicks, 25, of Castlerigg Close, Heaton Chapel, Stockport, has been charged with two counts of criminal damage; affray; assault occasioning actual bodily harm; assault by beating; and causing a danger to road users.
He has been remanded into custody to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court on Wednesday (July 2).
A full GMP statement read: “We have charged a man after reports of cars being damaged in Middleton on 29 June.
“Officers were called to the town centre at around 4:30pm after receiving several calls from members of the public and a suspect was arrested a short time later.
“Rhys Hicks (04/09/1999), of Castlerigg Close, Heaton Chapel, Stockport, has been charged with two counts of criminal damage, affray, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, assault by beating; and causing a danger to road users.
“He has been remanded into custody to appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on 2/7/25.”
