Ricky’s Travel of Millom in Cumbria has added to its fleet a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with an Avantgarde conversion, supplied by EVM.
It has 16 Sege Trend seats finished in black and grey synthetic leather and with three-point belts and folding armrests to the aisle. The driver’s position is trimmed in real leather, and all are styled with diamond stitching.
Side windows are double-glazed with the original aperture on the inside and a panoramic external appearance. The windscreen is an OEM unit, while a Masats powered passenger door is included within the specification.
At the rear is a drop boot behind the original hinged doors. The back row of seats is mounted on a raised pedestal to maximise luggage space, for which purpose a half-height shelf is within the boot area.
A Webasto Vancouver 9.3kW air-conditioning unit is mounted on the roof. It ducts via the luggage racks and passenger service units, with the latter also including saloon speakers and LED night lights.
USB charging points are fitted at each row of seats, while the driver benefits from a reversing camera with a 7in touch screen display and a microphone. Tarabus wood-effect, non-slip flooring completes the interior.
On the outside of the minicoach are colour-coded bumpers, grille, side mouldings and skirts. A chrome package includes mirror backs, door handles and wheel trims.
The base vehicle for Ricky’s Travel is a Sprinter 517CDi extra-long wheelbase finished in arctic white. Power comes from the OM 654 engine developing 170bhp coupled to a 9G-Tronic nine-speed automatic gearbox.
