A Scots schoolgirl has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car on a busy main road.
The incident took place at around 9.30pm on Monday on South Road in Dundee.
Police raced to the scene after receiving reports of a car smash involving a person.
The driver of the vehicle was injured and the 14-year-old was taken to hospital.
Cops are currently probing the incident to establish the full circumstances.
A spokeswoman said: “Around 9.30pm on Monday, April 8, 2024, police received a report of a road crash involving a 14-year-old girl and a car in South Road, Dundee.”
They added: “Emergency services attended and the young girl was taken to hospital.”
“The driver of the car was uninjured, and enquiries are ongoing.”
