The accident took place on the A541 at Bodfari, which remains closed

Seven people have been injured in a crash involving three cars in north Wales.

Emergency services were called to the incident near the Downing Arms Inn on the A541 at Bodfari, Denbighshire at about 19:45 BST on Wednesday.

Three people were airlifted to hospital by helicopter after receiving critical care at the scene, Welsh Ambulance Service said.

Another four people have been taken to hospital by ambulance for further treatment.

The condition of all seven people has not been released.

North Wales Police said they have closed the road and are asking people to avoid the area.

Gareth Davies, Vale of Clwyd MS, posted on social media: “Deeply saddened to hear about the major car crash in Bodfari tonight.

“My thoughts and prayers are with those involved and their loved ones.”
