Q Is it true that I don’t have to pay income tax on rental income earned from an investment property if I buy that property through a pension scheme?

A Rental income earned from property is exempt from income tax if the property is bought through a pension scheme, as long as the scheme has been approved by Revenue as tax exempt, said Glenn Gaughran, head of business development with the Independent Trustee Company.
