Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the fell 0.15%, while the index declined 0.51%, and the index fell 0.70%.

The best performers of the session on the were Rheinmetall AG (ETR:), which rose 4.10% or 15.90 points to trade at 404.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Adidas AG (ETR:) added 1.97% or 3.48 points to end at 179.72 and Bayer AG NA (ETR:) was up 1.01% or 0.29 points to 28.90 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Continental AG O.N. (ETR:), which fell 3.94% or 3.04 points to trade at 74.02 at the close. Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:) declined 2.97% or 1.41 points to end at 46.06 and Covestro AG (ETR:) was down 2.47% or 1.19 points to 46.98.

The top performers on the MDAX were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which rose 3.47% to 35.18, Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (ETR:) which was up 1.21% to settle at 39.46 and Gerresheimer AG (ETR:) which gained 0.89% to close at 91.10.

The worst performers were Bechtle AG (ETR:) which was down 5.53% to 46.51 in late trade, Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 3.66% to settle at 4.58 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was down 3.31% to 52.50 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which rose 3.47% to 35.18, Jenoptik AG (ETR:) which was up 0.86% to settle at 30.32 and Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which gained 0.62% to close at 13.75.

The worst performers were Bechtle AG (ETR:) which was down 5.53% to 46.51 in late trade, SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which lost 3.31% to settle at 52.50 and Atoss Software AG (ETR:) which was down 2.79% to 244.00 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 369 to 262 and 31 ended unchanged.

Shares in Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) rose to all time highs; rising 4.10% or 15.90 to 404.10. Shares in Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.66% or 0.17 to 4.58.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 1.39% to 13.45.

Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.19% or 3.85 to $2,027.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.08% or 0.06 to hit $78.40 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.02% or 0.02 to trade at $83.45 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 104.22.
