US Stock Market Live: Benchmark indices on Wall Street gained for the second day in a row on Wednesday, but could not hold on to the initial euphoria of strong gains for two consecutive sessions. Futures this Thursday morning, Indian time, are trading in the red, although the losses are minimal. The Dow futures are currently trading 80 points lower, while those of the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq are trading at the flat line. Regular trading saw the Dow Jones gain 400 points, adding to the 1,100-point upmove seen on Tuesday. However, the bigger takeaway is the fact that the index fell 700 points from the highs of the day. IBM shares fell afterhours after maintaining guidance despite an earnings beat. Indices came off the highs after Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said that there has been no unilateral offer from US President Donald Trump to reduce tariffs on China, but reiterated that neither China nor the US see these current tariff levels as sustainable. The US Dollar index is back near the mark of 100, Gold saw heavy profit booking, while the 10-year yield is at 4.38%. Watch this space for all the Live updates.
