The founders of Mr & Mr Child have launched a new estate agency, Child & Co Estates.
The Yorkshire-based property firm has expanded its operations with the creation of a second agency, extending its services into residential sales, lettings and property management.
Child & Co Estates has been set up by James and Steven Child, who also founded estate agency Mr & Mr Child in May 2024.
Mr & Mr Child operates across Yorkshire and has grown from a two-person business to a five-person team in the past two years, with further recruitment underway.
The agency focuses on marketing and selling higher-value and distinctive homes, with an average listing price of around £900,000. It also reports that around 24% of properties were sold off-market over the past year, supported by buyer matching and direct client engagement.
James Child said: “From the outset, Mr & Mr Child was created to focus on some of Yorkshire’s most unique homes with a highly bespoke and carefully curated approach to marketing.
“We deliberately stayed tightly focused on residential sales in the early stages of the business rather than trying to become all things to all people too quickly.
“But over the past two years, we’ve had increasing demand from homeowners and landlords who loved our approach and wanted access to the same standards of communication, presentation and client care across a broader range of homes and services.
“Launching Child & Co Estates felt like the natural next step.”
Mr & Mr Child will continue to focus on unique and individual homes, while Child & Co Estates has been established to provide residential sales, lettings and property management services for a broader range of properties across Yorkshire.
The new business will be overseen by James and Steven Child and supported by the existing team from Mr & Mr Child.
