KUWAIT: Real estate transactions in Kuwait totaled approximately KD 106.3 million (around $350.7 million) during the week of June 7-11, according to statistics released on Monday by the Real Estate Registration and Documentation Department at the Ministry of Justice. Data published on the ministry’s website showed that 134 real estate contracts were registered during the reporting period, with private housing transactions accounting for the largest share of activity.
Private property contracts topped the list with 97 transactions valued at KD 80.2 million (around $264.6 million). Investment properties ranked second, with 31 contracts worth KD 16.5 million (around $54 million). Commercial properties recorded three transactions with a combined value of KD 7 million (around $23.1 million), while one industrial property contract was registered at a value of KD 700,000 (around $2.3 million). The report also showed one transaction involving a coastal strip property valued at KD 1.6 million (around $5.2 million).
Regionally, the Capital Governorate recorded nine private property transactions and one investment property deal. Hawalli Governorate witnessed 13 private housing contracts and 12 investment property transactions. Farwaniya Governorate registered eight private property contracts and one investment contract, while Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate recorded 12 private housing transactions, two investment property deals and one coastal strip transaction.
Ahmadi Governorate accounted for the highest level of activity, with 45 private property contracts, 15 investment property transactions, one commercial property deal and one craft-related property transaction. Jahra Governorate recorded 10 private property contracts during the same period. The figures reflect continued activity across Kuwait’s real estate market, with private residential properties remaining the dominant segment in terms of both transaction volume and value. – KUNA
