CASH, Ark. (KAIT) – Cash police said a Trumann woman faces theft charges after allegedly stealing and using someone else’s P-EBT card, according to a probable-cause affidavit.
Craighead County District Judge David Boling found probable cause to charge Lana Bell, 61, with theft of property involving credit or debit cards and fraudulent use of a credit or debit card under $500.

On June 18 Cash police began an investigation into the unauthorized use of a P-EBT card, the probable cause affidavit said.
The victim reported her P-EBT card had been stolen from her residence in Cash. After discovering the card was missing, she contacted the Department of Human Services about the unauthorized activity on her account and was told the card had been used at a Walmart in Osceola.
Investigators spoke with a Walmart employee who provided transaction records and surveillance footage that showed Bell using the card.
Bell was arrested on June 21, released June 24 on a $5,000 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled to appear in court July 30.
