Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Chemicals, Energy and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the gained 2.22% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (), which rose 7.52% or 1.98 points to trade at 28.30 at the close. Meanwhile, LPP SA () added 5.14% or 1,100.00 points to end at 22,480.00 and Enea SA () was up 4.64% or 0.94 points to 21.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were MODIVO SA (), which fell 0.12% or 0.10 points to trade at 81.70 at the close. CD PROJEKT SA () declined 0.08% or 0.20 points to end at 255.80 and Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA () was down 0.07% or 0.10 points to 143.24.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 290 to 260 and 95 ended unchanged.
for July delivery was down 5.87% or 5.67 to $90.93 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, for delivery in August fell 5.56% or 5.57 to hit $94.64 a barrel, while the August Futures contract rose 1.07% or 48.90 to trade at $4,605.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was unchanged 0.07% to 4.23, while USD/PLN fell 0.43% to 3.63.
The Futures was down 0.28% at 98.90.
