After being on the market for several years, a remote and beautiful property on BC’s west coast has had its price cut.
The property is Lot A on Vargas Island, an island that sits northwest of Tofino. Mostly uninhabited now, the island is home to a huge park and only a handful of private property lots.
Lot A is one of two on the island’s northwest coast (looking out towards Alaska and Japan), a short boat ride from Tofino. The 65-acre lot doesn’t have any structures on it now, but it is zoned for a residence or retreat. There’s only one other lot in the area.
The lot includes dense forest, sandy beaches and some rocky outcroppings; a few small islands sit just offshore. The area is famous for wildife and is part of the UNESCO-protected Clayoquot Sound Biosphere.
In 2017 the property was listed for $8 million. A few years later it was listed at $6.5 million.
It was recently relisted for $3.75 million.
