Maynor Figueroa and Jason Koumas both have their sons tearing it up for Liverpool’s academy sides – and another of their team-mates also has a noteworthy dad, as well as a skateboarding champion grandad.

Jayden Danns has been pivotal to his side’s success after having notched 16 goals in 15 appearances for the Reds’ U18 team alongside Keyrol Figueroa and Lewis Koumas.

All have famous families, but none quite pip Jayden’s to the post. His dad, Neil Danns, had stints with Leicester City, Crystal Palace and Birmingham City during his over 20-year-long career and is now an assistant manager at League Two’s Tranmere Rovers.

However, Jayden’s grandad, confusingly also named Neil, has had an amazing life – from singing at Eurovision to skateboarding in the European Championships for Great Britain. The UK’s entry for the 1987 rendition of the Eurovision Song Contest was ‘Only the Light’ by Rikki, and in the back, sporting a brilliant white suit, was Neil Danns Sr.
