Sons Of Silver - Tell Me This

Sons of Silver have been on our radar for a long time, and we can hardly believe that they have never released a full-length album. Sure, they have spoiled us with plenty of singles and a few EPs, but it still feels odd to say that we have never heard a complete record from them. Well, luckily, this year that is going to change as the band is finally dropping their debut LP Runaway Emotions via 4L Entertainment this spring.

Now this is a band in which we are among the many fans who are eagerly waiting for this album, because we have been following Sons of Silver and their music for a long time. We have loved everything that they have put out so far, from their catchy and energetic singles to their diverse and creative EPs. They have shown us their talent and versatility, and we are excited to see what they have prepared for us on Runaway Emotions.

This is a very exciting time for both the band and the fans, as they are getting ready to release their debut album. Earlier this month, they gave us a taste of what to expect with their first single, Tell Me This, and now they have also released a stunning video for the song. The song has a fascinating backstory, as it was a work in progress for a long time, being shelved and revived several times, until it finally came to life when everything clicked into place for the band.

Upon first listening, what immediately stands out is the distinct, precise tone that swiftly traverses the stereo spectrum, akin to a comet cutting through space, leaving behind a luminous trail. This introduction sets up one of the things I love most about this band; the track transiting into its guitar segments, show off that insane level of skill and creativity.

This guitar work has grown to be a defining feature of their music for me. The great attention to detail in the guitar arrangements along with integration with the rest of the elements is a great example of the band’s commitment to making some magic with their sound. And also, the production is A+.

We have some percussion that sets a vigorous pace, accompanied by a riff that synchronizes perfectly with the bassline, delivering a powerful combined impact. This coordination creates an energetic and raw ambiance that defines the essence of the track. I really love how this was done. This band really knows how to bring it with their musicianship and songwriting. They’re the whole package – not just amazing players, but they write lyrics that get you thinking.

Now one of the things that I admire about Sons of Silver is their songwriting. The bands writing clever and witty lyrics that really can make you think and feel. This song was originally intended to be a political anthem, but it went through a few changes and for me it sounds more universal. I like how some of their tracks have a message, but they also leave some room for interpretation.

The video for ‘Tell Me This’ is a real visual feast, as it is almost as if it showcases the band’s style and personality via color. The video was directed by David Wolfgang, who has worked on popular shows like Miami Ink and Love & Hip Hop New York, and produced and edited by Salvatore Sclafani, who has credits on TYGER TYGER and Double Cross. They created a stunning video that they said draws inspiration from the 60’s Mod album cover art, with bright and vibrant colors that catch your eye.

As I said the video also has a cool and creative concept, as it shows each band member in their own rectangle with their own color, creating a contrast and a harmony at the same time. It reminds me of those iconic iPod commercials from the early 2000s, with the bright colors and the silhouettes. But of course, this video is much cooler.

We have been following Sons of Silver since their beginnings, and we have been amazed by their progress and success. They have released some awesome EPs and singles, and they have grown as a band and as artists. We are proud to support them and share their music with our readers. And I have to admit, this is probably my favorite song from them so far. It has everything I love about their sound, and it makes me even more excited for their debut album, Runaway Emotions, coming out this spring, so keep your eyes and ears peeled.
