The RBI has overhauled the rules regarding Prepaid Payment Instrument (PPI), popularly known as prepaid cards or wallets. The total amount debited from a full-KYC PPI during a month should not exceed Rs 2,00,000 including merchant payment as well as transfer to individuals.
