Ace Places, the community-focused deck created by entrepreneur Emma Sweet, has already launched in Henley and Marlow, featuring illustrations by Marlow artist Nicola Metcalfe.
Each deck showcases 54 independent businesses, charities, landmarks and hidden gems, with funds raised through sales going to a local charity.
Emma Sweet, founder of Ace Places, said: “When I created the first Henley playing cards, I thought I was launching a product.
“Over time, I’ve realised it was never really about the cards.
“It’s about celebrating the places we love, championing independent businesses, supporting local charities and bringing communities together.”
St Albans is the first location in Hertfordshire to receive its own deck, with Berkhamsted and Harpenden packs planned for 2027 and 2028.
Emma Sweet has worked with franchising consultant Steve Eastaugh to develop a model that allows Ace Places to expand while staying true to its community-first values.
