A 19-year-old woman has been arrested after a car was ‘deliberately set alight’ with two defenceless children sat inside.
The horrifying incident occurred at around 10.52pm on Thursday in Leeds.
According to West Yorkshire Police, the mother reported her car had been deliberately torched while her two youngsters were still in the vehicle.
She and a neighbour took the children to safety and where they were found to be uninjured after being checked over by ambulance staff, the force said.
A 19-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of arson and has since been bailed pending further enquiries.
