Police have closed off a road in Bebington after a person was hit by a car.

There is a large police presence on Teehey Lane following the incident.




Police said the incident was first reported to them at 7:41pm, with reports that a pedestrian had been hit by a car. The road was closed off and a person is believed to have been arrested in connection with the incident.

The condition of the person hit by the car is not yet known.

Police have confirmed that a man in his 80s has been taken to hospital with a serious head injury after being hit by a BMW.

Our reporter Katie said that a police cordon is in place on Teehey Lane, stretching from the turning onto Village Road up to Arnot Way.

Police have since extended the cordon up to the turning for Town Lane
