A main road is closed in both directions following a “major” crash involving three cars.
Drivers are being told to turn around as police have shut the A2990 Old Thanet Way between Greenhill and Swalecliffe.
Witnesses say a number of emergency vehicles are at the scene, including ambulance crews.
One driver said: “There is a major traffic incident on A2990 between Swalecliffe and Greenhill roundabouts.
“Many police and ambulance vehicles are there. I have had to turn back as the road closed in both directions.”
The incident has happened between the Westbrook Lane and Chestfield Road junctions.
