Finance Minister, Rashid Abu Ghaffa, met Turkey’s Ambassador to Libya, Güven Begeç, in Tripoli on Wednesday to discuss strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the Turkish ambassador reaffirmed Ankara’s support for Libya, expressing readiness to assist in efforts to promote stability and economic development.
Abu Ghaffa highlighted the longstanding ties between the two countries and called for deeper cooperation, particularly in financial, economic and investment sectors.
He said the finance ministry was ready to implement a joint development agreement with Turkey, stressing the importance of transparency and good governance.
According to the minister, the agreement is expected to support infrastructure projects, stimulate economic activity, and contribute to broader economic growth in Libya.
