The move aligns with HaysMac’s strategy to support growth-focused businesses and their owners through change, transactions and long-term value creation.
Green Square has more than 20 years’ experience advising on deals involving founder-led and investor-backed companies, with work spanning multiple jurisdictions and sectors. It is particularly known for mandates in marketing, media and technology.
Its team will now operate within HaysMac, sitting alongside tax, transaction services, audit, risk assurance and private client specialists.
Clients will be able to access these services through a single, integrated advisory team.
Green Square Partners Tony Walford and Barry Dudley commented: “Green Square has always been focused on helping founders and shareholders make confident decisions at pivotal moments in their lives.
“Joining HaysMac allows us to build on that purpose, working as part of a larger advisory firm that shares our commitment to quality, relationships and long–term outcomes.
“Together, we can support more businesses across a wider range of situations, with the depth and breadth of expertise that clients increasingly value.”
HaysMac said the acquisition significantly enhances its in-house corporate finance capability and strengthens its ability to guide clients through complex deals and periods of change.
HaysMac managing partner Natasha Frangos said: “This acquisition is an important milestone for HaysMac and achieves our strategic ambition to deepen our transaction advisory capabilities.
“Green Square has an outstanding reputation for supporting owners and shareholders through complex, high-value transactions, and their expertise perfectly complements our existing strength in advising growth-focused and investor-backed businesses.”
Earlier this year, HaysMac appointed Ben O’Neill as its new tax director to strengthen its corporate tax and property capabilities.
