Question: My three-year fixed rate mortgage deal expires next month and I’m facing much higher payments from then as a result. Is there anything I can to do avoid a huge increase in my mortgage bills?

Answer: It is unlikely you will get as good a fixed rate deal today as you did in 2021 when you initially signed up to your three-year fixed rate – but there are some excellent fixed rate options still available, says Peter Gilbourne, director of broker Affinity Advisors.
