A man has been arrested after a woman was allegedly raped inside a property in Glasgow.
Emergency services were alerted to the alleged “serious sexual assault” within a property in the Gorbals area of the city on Friday, June 12.
A 56-year-old man has been arrested and released pending further investigation. Police say their investigations into the incident are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “On Friday, June 12, 2026, we received a report of a woman being seriously sexually assaulted within a property in the Gorbals area of Glasgow.
“A 56-year-old man has been arrested and released pending further investigation.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
