Investing.com – Brazil equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Real Estate, Financials and Consumption sectors propelled shares higher.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were Sendas Distribuidora SA (), which rose 8.06% or 0.68 points to trade at 9.13 at the close. C A Modas SA () added 6.70% or 0.75 points to end at 11.97 and Cyrela Brazil Realty SA () was up 6.68% or 1.42 points to 22.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Prio SA (), which lost 5.98% or 4.09 points to trade at 64.80 in late trade. Usinas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais SA USIMINAS Pref () declined 3.19% or 0.33 points to end at 9.98 and Petroleo Brasileiro SA () shed 2.91% or 1.46 points to 48.58.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 557 to 318 and 44 ended unchanged on the B3 Stock Exchange.
The , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 0.22% to 31.84.
In commodities trading, for August delivery was up 1.07% or 48.70 to $4,605.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 6.51% or 6.29 to hit $90.31 a barrel, while the July fell 0.38% or 1.05 to trade at $272.35 .
USD/BRL was down 0.36% to 5.02, while EUR/BRL unchanged 0.01% to 5.84.
