Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the fell 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Becle SA (BMV:CUERVO), which rose 2.70% or 0.37 points to trade at 14.09 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte () added 2.33% or 5.19 points to end at 227.49 and Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B () was up 2.19% or 9.11 points to 426.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included America Movil SAB de CV M (), which lost 2.15% or 0.49 points to trade at 22.25 in late trade. Regional SAB de CV () declined 2.01% or 2.82 points to end at 137.67 and Banco Del Bajio SA Institution De Banca Multiple () shed 1.32% or 0.73 points to 54.67.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 80 to 61 and 17 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, for August delivery was up 1.07% or 48.70 to $4,605.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, for delivery in July fell 6.51% or 6.29 to hit $90.31 a barrel, while the August fell 6.55% or 6.56 to trade at $93.65 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.09% to 17.29, while EUR/MXN rose 0.08% to 20.13.
