Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Mining and Power sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the lost 1.02%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were Moskovskiy Kreditnyi Bank PAO (), which rose 2.64% or 0.16 points to trade at 6.34 at the close. Meanwhile, Aeroflot PJSC () added 2.56% or 1.21 points to end at 48.46 and Polyus PJSC () was up 2.25% or 46.80 points to 2,129.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were NOVATEK PJSC (), which fell 4.02% or 44.60 points to trade at 1,065.00 at the close. Severstal PJSC () declined 3.53% or 26.20 points to end at 716.80 and TATNEFT n.a. V.D. Shashin () was down 3.50% or 21.90 points to 603.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 207 to 40 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Severstal PJSC (MCX:CHMF) fell to 3-years lows; falling 3.53% or 26.20 to 716.80.
The , which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was up 6.05% to 23.15.
Futures for August delivery was up 1.07% or 48.70 to $4,605.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, for delivery in July fell 6.51% or 6.29 to hit $90.31 a barrel, while the August contract fell 6.55% or 6.56 to trade at $93.65 a barrel.
USD/RUB was unchanged 0.00% to 71.61, while EUR/RUB unchanged 0.00% to 83.37.
The Futures was down 0.27% at 98.92.
