Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the added 0.79% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Adyen NV (), which rose 3.10% or 29.70 points to trade at 987.60 at the close. Meanwhile, BE Semiconductor Industries NV () added 3.07% or 8.40 points to end at 282.00 and Akzo Nobel NV () was up 3.01% or 1.56 points to 53.44 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Shell PLC (), which fell 1.13% or 0.42 points to trade at 36.69 at the close. SBM Offshore NV () declined 1.03% or 0.36 points to end at 34.46 and Koninklijke KPN NV () was down 0.89% or 0.04 points to 4.58.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 78 to 25 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI) rose to all time highs; rising 3.07% or 8.40 to 282.00.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
for July delivery was down 5.27% or 5.09 to $91.51 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, for delivery in August fell 5.02% or 5.03 to hit $95.18 a barrel, while the August rose 1.03% or 46.80 to trade at $4,603.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.34% to 1.16, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.86.
