Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Glass, Electronic Parts/Components and Optoelectronic sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the gained 2.18% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Les Enphants Co Ltd (), which rose 10.00% or 0.79 points to trade at 8.69 at the close. Meanwhile, Harvatek Corp () added 10.00% or 2.80 points to end at 30.80 and TXC Corp () was up 10.00% or 16.00 points to 176.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Yeong Guan Energy Technology Group Co Ltd (), which fell 9.92% or 0.61 points to trade at 5.54 at the close. Lung Hwa Electronics Co Ltd () declined 9.88% or 1.60 points to end at 14.60 and Chung Fu Tex-International Corp () was down 9.51% or 1.35 points to 12.85.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Les Enphants Co Ltd (TW:2911) rose to 52-week highs; rising 10.00% or 0.79 to 8.69. Shares in Yeong Guan Energy Technology Group Co Ltd (TW:1589) fell to all time lows; losing 9.92% or 0.61 to 5.54. Shares in Harvatek Corp (TW:6168) rose to 3-years highs; up 10.00% or 2.80 to 30.80. Shares in Lung Hwa Electronics Co Ltd (TW:2424) fell to 5-year lows; losing 9.88% or 1.60 to 14.60. Shares in TXC Corp (TW:3042) rose to all time highs; rising 10.00% or 16.00 to 176.00. Shares in Chung Fu Tex-International Corp (TW:1435) fell to 5-year lows; losing 9.51% or 1.35 to 12.85.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 4.82% or 4.66 to $91.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 2.13% or 1.99 to hit $95.41 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 3.82 to trade at $4,560.22 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.33% to 31.51, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.23% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 99.06.
