Biggest losers included Archion Corp (), which lost 8.68% or 35.00 points to trade at 368.00 in late trade. Chugai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. () declined 6.54% or 531.00 points to end at 7,586.00 and Advantest Corp. () shed 6.05% or 1,680.00 points to 26,075.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 1863 to 1689 and 229 ended unchanged on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
