Soyang Europe has been appointed as an official UK distributor for Platinum Technologies Liyu.
As part of the collaboration, Soyang Europe will have access to the wide-format printer manufacturer’s entire range of products.
The partnership hopes to drive the growth of Platinum Technologies Liyu (previously known as Liyu Technologies) printers across England, Scotland and Wales.
Mark Mashiter, CEO of Soyang Europe, said the partnership “made complete sense” for both parties and will prove “hugely significant” for the companies’ long-term growth plans in the UK.
“We have been admirers of Platinum Technologies Liyu for some time, and we are delighted to be adding their printers to our portfolio of leading solutions,” said Mashiter.
He continued: “Our long-standing relationships and experience working directly with manufacturing partners in China have given us a strong understanding of what customers require in terms of quality, reliability and support.
“We believe Platinum Technologies Liyu is exceptionally well positioned to meet those demands in the GB market.”
The collaboration follows a long-standing relationship between the two businesses over the past two decades.

He added: “This agreement is absolutely a win-win for both parties and – of course – our valued customers.”
Demonstrations of Liyu machines in action are available at Soyang’s demonstration facility in Accrington.
This includes the Liyu Signature H3340, a UV hybrid printer with speeds up to 350sqm/hr that can print at a resolution of 2,400dpi in a range of colours including CMYK, light cyan, light magenta, white and various neon ink options.
The H3340 will be shown at Fespa Global Print Expo this year as part of the firm’s Signature Series launch.
Alongside the H3340, the firm will also showcase a flatbed/roll-to-roll machine and a 5-metre machine at the exhibition in Barcelona next week.
Soyang Europe, a manufacturer and distributor of wide-format and superwide-format media, is a partner business to China-headquartered Soyang Technologies. It is also a supplier for Fujifilm, Ricoh, Mimaki and Jetrix.
