Jane Benson, lead for the community garden, said: “Well over 40 people contributed something towards this garden, from the growing of seeds, painting on pebbles, making cushions for the seating… the list goes on and on.
“The show garden was a combination of the immense skills of Vicky and Chris combined with the enthusiasm and commitment of so many volunteers and members of the local community and it’s this that made me feel so proud.
“I felt the garden truly reflected all the Wimborne Community Garden stands for.”
Judges praised the design as thoughtful, inclusive and welcoming, with a strong emphasis on accessibility.
Wimborne Community Garden is located at the top of School Lane in Wimborne, BH21 2RP, and is open on a Wednesday morning, Friday afternoon and Sunday afternoon.
Visitors are always welcome.
