Halifax has announced rate reductions across its fixed rate mortgage offering, effective from today, Friday 24th April. As part of the reductions, the lender has made cuts of up to 0.15% across selected deals. The changes aim to provide improved pricing for both new buyers and those moving home. The lender confirmed that its product search tool on the Halifax Intermediaries website, Halifax Intermediaries Online and sourcing systems will be updated same day to reflect the new rates. Interest rates on fixed-rate home loans are down significantly from last month but higher than they were last week. Family Building Society has launched a new range of reduced-price fixed rate residential mortgage products, with rates reduced by up to 0.30%. The Society has also reintroduced 60% LTV price tier products across its residential product set.  In addition, two and five-year fixed rate buy-to-let rates have been reduced by 25bps and 15bps, respectively.
