The Right Mortgage and Protection Network has appointed Drew Wilson as its specialist lending development manager.
He will report to the firm’s head of lending, Victoria Clark, and work with its member firms and advisers across the specialist lending market.
Wilson has more than five years of experience working across mortgage and protection roles, and gained his CeMAP in 2023. He previously worked at The Right Mortgage between 2020 and 2024 as its national account manager, where he worked with member firms across recruitment, onboarding, compliance, product diversification and business development.
He was most recently ancillary sales executive at Crystal Specialist Finance, where he supported clients through the case journey and finding alternative finance solutions.
Clark said: “Drew brings valuable experience of the specialist lending market to this role and a strong understanding of the support advisers need when dealing with cases [that] sit outside standard lending criteria.
“Having previously spent four years with TRM, Drew also knows our network, our team, our member firms and the importance we place on providing advisers with practical support. His more recent experience within specialist finance adds to that knowledge and we are very pleased to welcome him back to us.”

Wilson added: “It’s lovely to return to my roots with all my mentors and family. Having spent the past few years working directly in specialist lending, I am honoured to be given this opportunity to help our network and its advisers in the specialist lending space at a time when advisers’ clients are increasingly far from ‘vanilla’.
“My goal in this role is to make sure advisers have everything they need to succeed in the specialist lending space, providing the support they need when working with clients whose circumstances require an approach different to the mainstream.”
