The latest transfer stories involving Scottish footbal clubs
We expect a flurry of transfer activity over the next few days in Scotland ahead of the transfer window closing on Thursday at 5pm.
Celtic and Rangers have splashed the cash, while the rest of the Premiership have also been very active.
Here are the latest transfer stories this Monday morning:
Kelsy to jet in and seal Rangers move
Rangers are on the brink of sealing a megabucks transfer for Portland Timbers striker Kevin Kelsy after it was reported that the Venezuelan is en route to Europe to conduct a medical.
Kelsy, 22, would cost Rangers £9 million as the Ibrox side looks to bolster their frontline. He was identified as a prime target following a serious ACL injury to Youssef Chermiti earlier this month.
Speaking on incomings after the 1-0 win over Aberdeen, McInnes said: “In terms of ones in, it’s been a while now since Youssef went down against Hibs, so we’re really keen and eager to get the striker in that we want.
“Again, it’s taken a bit longer, but it’s not reasons the club are guilty for. We all know the importance of bringing in that quality at the top end of the pitch.”
Celtic close to landing their man
PSV Eindhoven midfielder Joel van den Berg is expected to conduct a medical today ahead of his move to Celtic.
The Premiership champions are said to have agreed a fee of £3.4m for the 19-year-old Dutchman, who was pulled from the PSV Under-21 squad on Friday as transfer talks accelerated.
Celtic have been in the market for a central midfielder since selling Arne Engels to West Ham and it appears Van den Berg is the man they want to bring in.
They may also lose Reo Hatate, who told Celtic chiefs earlier this summer that he would like to explore new opportunities.
Palace man linked with Celtic
Crystal Palace midfielder Justin Devenny has also emerged as a transfer target for Celtic.
The 22-year-old is on the periphery of the Palace first team under new head coach Pierre Sage and would be available for transfer.
Devenny started his career in Scotland and played for Kilmarnock and Airdrieonians before moving to Selhurst Park in 2023.
A Northern Ireland internationalist, Devenny can also play at left-back – a position Celtic are keen to strengthen, with only Kieran Tierney as their option right now.
And in England …
Merseyside rivals Liverpool and Everton are interested in Stuttgart winger Jamie Leweling, according to Sky Sport Germany.
The 25-year-old Germany international, who featured once at this summer’s World Cup, is also linked with Italian club Roma.
Crystal Palace have revived talks with Marseille for Netherlands midfielder Quinten Timber, reports the Daily Mail. The 25-year-old is the twin brother of Arsenal right-back Jurrien Timber.
According to the same paper, Palace are determined to keep England goalkeeper Dean Henderson, 29, after a bid from Nottingham Forest.
