“There are 62,710 beneficiaries receiving subsidized housing,” the Minister of Housing and Settlement, Maruarar Sirait, said at the Mass Mortgage Signing for 62,000 Units of Subsidized Housing Mortgages and Housing Business Credit (KUR) totaling Rp880 billion (US$47 million) in Batang on Thursday.
According to him, FLPP disbursement over the 15 years from 2010 to 2025 reached its highest level, reaching 278,000 units of subsidized housing mortgages in 2025, compared to 228,000 units in 2023.
He stated that the third mass mortgage signing for subsidized housing in Batang, Central Java, is a follow-up to the first and second mass mortgage signings in 2025.
Meanwhile, Heru Pudyo Nugroho, Commissioner of the Public Housing Savings Management Agency (BP Tapera), said the event on Thursday, being implemented simultaneously, is spread across at least 130 locations in 372 districts/cities across 36 provinces throughout Indonesia.
He then informed that the disbursement of FLPP subsidized mortgages in 2026, as of July 29, had reached 118,756 housing units worth Rp14.76 trillion (US$794 million).
“FLPP’s performance is inseparable from the support and collaborative synergy within the housing ecosystem. We thank the ministries/institutions, regional governments, labor unions, professional associations, our distribution partners, along with 43 distributing banks, consisting of 6 state-owned banks (Himbara), 34 regional development banks, and 3 private banks,” he continued.
He noted that the latest mass mortgage signing recorded the highest number of contracts compared with previous rounds, reflecting BP Tapera’s continued commitment to expanding access to affordable housing finance.
Earlier, data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) indicates a home ownership backlog of 9.6 million units by 2025.
The housing backlog is the gap between the number of homes needed by the community and the number of homes available.
