Construction has started on The Abbotsford development at Bowen Hills in Brisbane with two towers positioned around a restored heritage home.
Cintra Property director Peter Tan said it was where Brisbane’s best lifestyle met timeless design, embracing the past and shaping the future.
“In a time when growth and progress often come at the expense of character, The Abbotsford offers a different vision for the future,” he said.
The Abbotsford, Bowen Hills, will include a pool.
“At its heart is the carefully restored 152-year-old Abbotsford House, a significant piece of Brisbane’s architectural heritage thoughtfully integrated into the development as an exclusive resident retreat.
“Rather than preserving history for nostalgia alone, the heritage home has been reimagined as a vibrant community space surrounded by expansive gardens and contemporary architecture.
The Abbotsford, Bowen Hills, will include the restored 152-year-old Abbotsford House.
“The result is a rare balance of old and new – a development that celebrates Brisbane’s rich past while embracing the lifestyle, design and sustainability expectations of a modern city.”
Positioned in Bowen Hills on the doorstep of Newstead, Mr Tan said The Abbotsford placed residents at the centre of everything that made inner-city Brisbane so desirable with completion expected by the end of next year.
“Walk to Gasworks Plaza, King St, James St and the RNA Showgrounds, with Howard Smith Wharves, the Brisbane River and the CBD all within easy reach,” he said.
“Positioned close to Bowen Hills station and major transport connections, The Abbotsford offers exceptional connectivity while placing Brisbane’s best dining, retail and lifestyle destinations at your doorstep.
“It is a location that delivers the perfect balance of convenience, amenity and lifestyle.”
Two- and three-bedroom layouts, designed by architects DKO, are priced from $1.349m and Mr Tan said the spacious residences had been crafted to reflect the very best of contemporary Queensland living.
“Inspired by the timeless qualities of Brisbane’s traditional homes, expansive floorplans, large balconies, floor-to-ceiling glazing and cross-flow ventilation create light-filled residences with a seamless indoor-outdoor connection,” he said.
The Abbotsford, Bowen Hills, will feature two- and three-bedroom designs.
“Premium finishes including timber flooring, natural stone surfaces, Smeg appliances, butler’s pantries and carefully considered layouts deliver a level of quality, space and liveability rarely found in inner-city apartment living.
“Opportunities to secure a luxury new residence that combines an exceptional lifestyle location, timeless design and genuine Brisbane character are becoming increasingly rare. The Abbotsford is one of those opportunities.”
Mr Tan said what truly distinguished The Abbotsford was its commitment to preserving the qualities that made Brisbane one of Australia’s most liveable cities.
Kitchens at The Abbotsford, Bowen Hills, will have Smeg appliances.
“As Brisbane continues its transformation towards the 2032 Olympic Games and beyond, opportunities to secure a residence that combines a blue-chip lifestyle location, meaningful heritage and exceptional design are becoming increasingly scarce,” he said.
“The Abbotsford represents a rare chance to be part of one of Brisbane’s most distinctive new addresses.”
