Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the gained 1.76%, while the index gained 1.71%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Safran SA (), which rose 5.79% or 16.50 points to trade at 301.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Societe Generale SA () added 4.51% or 3.10 points to end at 71.90 and Renault SA () was up 3.27% or 0.91 points to 28.77 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TotalEnergies SE (), which fell 1.25% or 0.98 points to trade at 77.67 at the close. Euronext () declined 0.55% or 0.80 points to end at 145.40 and Orange SA () was down 0.36% or 0.07 points to 18.14.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Worldline SA () which rose 9.60% to 0.35, Air France KLM SA () which was up 6.24% to settle at 10.90 and Safran SA (EPA:SAF) which gained 5.79% to close at 301.50.
The worst performers were Euroapi SAS () which was down 1.60% to 1.48 in late trade, Verallia () which lost 1.29% to settle at 19.86 and TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF) which was down 1.25% to 77.67 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 333 to 151 and 76 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
for August delivery was up 1.03% or 46.85 to $4,603.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, for delivery in July fell 5.26% or 5.08 to hit $91.52 a barrel, while the August contract fell 5.01% or 5.02 to trade at $95.19 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.33% to 1.16, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 98.93.
