Two members of the Milton Academy community, Tracy Palandjian ’89 and Yvonne Hao P’28, have been named to Forbes’ 50 Over 50, recognizing influential women whose leadership and impact continue to grow later in their careers.
Palandjian, a Milton alumna and former trustee, is co-founder and CEO of Social Finance, a Boston-based nonprofit focused on developing innovative financing approaches to address economic and social challenges.
A leader in the impact investing field, Palandjian has helped advance strategies that connect private and public capital with measurable social outcomes. Through Social Finance, she has worked on initiatives spanning workforce development, education, health and economic mobility.
Hao, a current Milton trustee, is chief operating officer and general partner at Flagship Pioneering, the Cambridge, Massachusetts-based life sciences investment firm known for creating and developing biotechnology companies.
Her career has crossed business, investing and government. Before joining Flagship Pioneering, Hao served as Massachusetts Secretary of Economic Development, overseeing the state’s economic development strategy and working with businesses, communities and other stakeholders on investment, job creation and competitiveness.
Hao previously held senior leadership and operating positions across a range of companies and has served as a board member and investor.
The Forbes recognition highlights two leaders with deep connections to Milton Academy who have built careers spanning finance, entrepreneurship, investing, public service and social impact.

Palandjian graduated from Milton Academy in 1989, while Hao is a current trustee and parent of a member of the Class of 2028.
