Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the gained 0.62%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Teixeira Duarte (), which rose 4.71% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.44 at the close. Meanwhile, Mota Engil SGPS SA () added 3.05% or 0.14 points to end at 4.80 and Banco Comercial Portugues () was up 2.78% or 0.03 points to 0.99 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nos SGPS SA (), which fell 1.51% or 0.08 points to trade at 5.24 at the close. Semapa () declined 0.85% or 0.20 points to end at 23.40 and Galp Energia Nom () was down 0.79% or 0.15 points to 18.95.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 8 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) rose to 5-year highs; up 2.78% or 0.03 to 0.99.
for August delivery was down 5.07% or 5.08 to $95.13 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, for delivery in July fell 5.31% or 5.13 to hit $91.47 a barrel, while the August Futures contract rose 1.04% or 47.19 to trade at $4,603.59 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.33% to 1.16, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.19% to 0.86.
