NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — An 18-year-old North Charleston man was arrested Wednesday night after police said he was found driving a stolen vehicle that contained credit cards, debit cards and identification documents belonging to multiple people.
North Charleston Police conducted a high-risk traffic stop around 8:45 p.m. near the intersection of Russelldale Avenue and Twitty Street in the Russelldale community after receiving information about a possible stolen vehicle, authorities said.

Officers verified through the National Crime Information Center that the vehicle had been reported stolen, according to police.
During a search of the vehicle, investigators found a bag on the rear floorboard containing multiple credit and debit cards belonging to individuals who were not inside the vehicle, police said. Officers also discovered two wallets that contained another person’s identification card and Social Security card.
The recovered property was seized as evidence and remains part of an ongoing investigation, according to police.
Authorities arrested Mark Coakley, 18, of North Charleston and charged him with possession of a stolen vehicle. He was booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center.
A juvenile was also charged in connection with the incident and was released to a parent or guardian with a promise to appear in court.
No additional charges had been announced as of Thursday, and the investigation remains ongoing.
